Class had ended for the day, so the tech theater room was open and she wouldn't have to worry about distracting anyone. With a smile Luci had made her way into the classroom after everyone had left, carrying her yellow duffel bag with her. That duffel bag was filled with all her paint supplies, and to be quite blunt, she had a lot of them.
Luci knelt down in front of the set piece she had been painting and quickly swept her long blonde hair into a ponytail before digging out the correct paintbrushes and paints. When this piece was finished it would be a moon and would be hung up above the set as a prop during Jade West's new play. Luci did most of the prop design for the plays that went on at Hollywood Arts.
With her paints ready and a paintbrush in hand, Luci began to put the final details and shading into the moon. It was coming out rather well; she had the base colours already on it, and now she just had to finish it. She smiled slightly to herself- she really did love to paint. It was relaxing but fun at the same time; she never knew what she'd end up with, because all she did was paint where she saw fit at the time. That's why everything she painted came out differently and spirited and unique; it represented her mood and ideas when she'd painted it.
Luci carefully painted stroke after stroke of silvers, blues, and whites onto the moon, choosing luminescent tones to make it seem even that much more real. Every once and a while she would stick some glitter on shaded areas and other parts of the moon, only to follow through with more paint in other areas. Most of the moon was bright, but she was told to make it hazy as well, evil looking almost. And so she did just that- the hazy parts were where the steam and fog would rise from the smoke machines, and also where the clouds she'd already finished would sail across in certain moments.
It was always so exciting when a new play was announced, because then Luci would be asked to do all the set pieces for it. Those were the days she lived for- staying for hours after school in the tech theater classroom and painting to her heart's content, making everything perfect for the play.
