(*Time Warp*)
Jade stood backstage of the Black Box Theater, gazing at the closed curtain. She turned to her actors, glaring at them. She was a lot of things, but a motivational was not one of them. Instead of making some soppy speech about how this was the first day of the play and she was sure they could do a good job if only they worked together, she simply said, “Opening night. Do good. Or else.” And turned away. “Well,” She said, turning to glare once more, “Don’t just stand there, get onstage! And don’t tell me you don’t know where to stand,” She snarled at a freshman who was looking questioningly at her, “Because I already told you a thousand times!” “Senjin!” She yelled at him, “Bring down the house lights and start up the stage ones. If that doesn’t get people to stop yapping, make the entire theater pitch black until they shut up.” She plodded up to Alex and Cat. “You two know your lines? You’d better, with the practice we put into this thing. Make it good.” And she strode off stage right, giving the queue to raise the curtain.

Alex had read over the script to see how he was supposed to dress, when he got dressed and was about to go out on Stage he looked at Jade, "Black LA Hat, Black silk shirt with a black tie, black Jeans, and black Nikes that cost 2000$, that you made me buy." Alex looked at her, "And you made me buy most props and clothes, you know just because I'm rich-" Alex then stopped remembering the last time he had questioned Jade. "Just.. Forget about it." Alex said. He looked at Cat, who Alex had developed a crush on.
"So you ready to go?" Alex said, he looked at the redheaded girl. As Alex was more than ready to go and wanted to start striking fear into the Heart of Freshmen, but also entertain, dance, and sing along the way. Alex had played many characters before but the scary ones were, such as Satan, Hades, Jason, and Freddy Crueger and Michael Myers.

Jade gave him a look that could kill flowers. “Yeah you’d better not finish sentence. Yes I know you’re rich, and yes I’m going to make the most of it. I’m me, that’s how I roll.” She shooed him onto the stage. “Don’t make me drag you out there just as the curtains about to rise. Honestly, I thought you might have had more sense. No, scratch that, I didn’t think that at all. I thought you had more sense than to question me in the first place. You do NOT want another potted plant incident.” She smirked at the memory of when he had told her the plastic fern clashed with the set and she had thrown it at his head in response. “That was an interesting walk to the nurse.”
She watched him talk to Cat, rolling her eyes when he asked basically the same thing she had. His feelings were apparent to her, at least, and it annoyed the heck out of her, but she had better things to worry about at that point. “Yo Lover Boy, less talking more shutting up. I just told you the curtains going up.” She could hear the quite murmuring ceasing throughout the theater, and hoped for their sakes it would last. She didn’t much appreciate people talking during her productions.

Alex looked at her, he didnt want another plant thrown at his head, I hadn't hurt him, Jade knew that, because Alex had been hurt by worse things during his travels around the world, but he wasn't a fan of his head bleeding or his hair being messed up. But still he didn't like it so he just looked at Jade, "I know that's how ya role, and I respect ya for it." Alex looked at her.
"If I shut up then how can I act?" Alex smiled at her, "Just messing." The lights dimmed down, the narrator talked, Alex waited for his cue, as the light music came on, "Here we meet Danny Casas a 17 year old boy who loves to be active." Alex ran out from the side doing 2 cartwheels, and a side flip. Where he landed there was a circle of holes which shot fire out, Alex whispered to his side microphone, which was a thing the drama program had installed so you could talk to the techno guys and Director during the play with nobody hearing you. "Jade, when did the fire get installed?" Alex whispered to the side waiting for Cat to come out.

Jade smiled. “I bullied the stage crew into installing it. You like?” She said. “Now a question of my own, when did you add the side flip? I didn’t see that in the rehearsal.” The narrator talked again, giving Cat’s cue this time. “And Larka Tanner, whose beauty was known for miles around!” “Come on, Cat, that’s your cue!” She hissed into the little microphone. She was on a multitasking rampage, reading the script and criticizing the actors as well as cueing people in and shooing them on stage. For a play with this many hours put in, there was a lot to do. Nothing could break her concentration, not now the play had started. No one was safe from her comments, not the main actors nor the stage crew.
She studied the narrator, trying to decide if he was speaking to fast, and, on deciding he was, hissed, “Narrator, slow down. You’re giving me a head ache. Go ON Cat, or there’ll be dead air, and I would never, NEVER forgive you for that. Cue music!” She continued like this for a while, finishing with a complicated set of directions for the light crew, while the actors continued on stage. She had trained them to not be distracted by her talking in her ear, so it wasn’t taking away from the show or the actors own performance. Or at least, it better not. A scared looking assistant looked at her flying mouth and hands with awe, but she had no time for gawkers. “Get prop 14 out there. The fake baby.” She barked at him, and he ran to get it. “No, don’t bring it to me, put it out on the stage! Honestly.” She shook her head. “People these days.” Then she was back. “Alex, step back a few steps, you’re blocking some people who have lines sometime soon.”

Cat, hearing her line, walked casually out on the stage just as she was supposed to. She tried very hard to make her face smile even though she was rather scared of how violent and angry Jade was being. She wondered how come Jade liked writing and producing plays and all that if she would get so stressed out before and during the show. Cat loved to perform, so she couldn't imagine why anyone would get so upset over something. Maybe that was just how Jade was. That was always expectable, she supposed, when it came to her friend. Jade was just Jade.
And so, happy Cat ruffled her hair a little bit and put on a genuine and, well, attractive smile as she entered the stage. After all, that was her character, a beautiful girl who everyone liked! Sounded like fun, and who knew, maybe there were a bunch of cute boys in the audience who would want to hang out with her after the play was over. That'd be fun. The thought of it made Cat giggle just a little to herself, but it was inaudible other than to Jade and the other crew members. She didn't think they'd notice either way because it was, after all, kind of in-character for her, and the person she was playing.

Alex spoke throught the microphone, "Do I like? I love! But I gotta get off stage for one minute while the smoke is up." Alex said, as he saw his hat burning, he ran out, got his other hat that was exactly like his last hat, and ran back to his spot, while the smoke was up."Next time, tell me about the fire, I had to change my hat." He said through the little microphone. "And by the way, I like side flips, I respect your decisions, and you should respect this one, as it is awesomer than the last one being another backflip." He then could hear her yelling to the backstage crew and the narrator. Alex sighed, and looked over at cout coming out.
He couldn't help but admire her beauty, as she came out. He walked over to her. But he had to put himself in character now.
Danny saw his girlfriend, Larka, walking out to the side. He ran over towards her, "Hey! Larka!" Danny said. He had very importand things on his mind. He wanted to ask Larka something, "Larka I was wondering, during the Final game of the playoffs we have this tradition for basketball that the player's girlfriends' are supposed to wear their jerseys, I was wondering if you'd wear mine?"

Cat smiled absentmindedly as everything was fixed and put into place and Alex's hat was changed. Well, not too absentmindedly- she did have to stay in character and focus. But hey, the audience was paying attention to Alex's hat more than they were here, so she could be absentminded as she- wait, they were paying more attention to a hat than her, a person?! What was that supposed to mean? Did they all just hate her or something, or- Oh, it was time for her first line. Cat luckily had not been looked at up until this realization had hit her face, so any kind of expression that showed her being upset or offended was known only to herself. She would get to the bottom of this after the play, though. If she rememebered. Wait, what was she supposed to figure out after the play...? Oh well. Time for her line!
"Of course I'll wear yours, Danny! I can't wait!" said Cat in her own first return line, giving a smile to her 'on-stage boyfriend', or her character's boyfriend in non-theatre terms. She met him in a quick hug as was in the stage script and then turned back to her own spot, saying, "I can't wait. I know you'll do great!"
Acting was so much fun. Cat reminded herself to thank Jade for such a lovely play after it was over, because it really was so much fun.
