Running her fingers through her hair, Riley Mitchell let out a sigh. She was sitting on the floor of her bed room with many boxes surrounding her. Now she had only lived in Hollywood for maybe a week or so, and she had only unpacked her clothing. Her walls were quite barren and empty, as was her whole room.
Pulling a box close to her, Riley let out a small groan. She hated unpacking, whether it was unpacking for a vacation or a camping trip. She found it pointless. Grabbing a pair of scissors, she cut the tape and opened the box. It was filled with mostly various small things; a jewelry box and other nick-knacks.
Setting the box onto her bed, Riley pulled her hair back into a loose ponytail and rolled up her blue sleeves. Grabbing her jewelry box, she placed it onto of her dresser. Tucking some loose strands, she let out a sigh.
"I'm never going to get this finished." she said, looking around.

For some reason, cleaning up someone else's stuff was a lot more fun than cleaning up your own stuff. Why? Maya had no clue. But in any case, she wasn't about to go and unpack her own stuff when her sister was no doubt unpacking her stuff, and she could go help her instead!
And so the pink-haired older sibling of said Riley wandered down into her sister's room, where she promptly stopped at the door and said,
"Can I help you with that?"
Not waiting for an answer, Maya let herself enter the room and knelt down next to Riley, a small and knowing smile on her face. The two sisters were a lot alike; they had both chosen to wear their hair up for cleaning, so it would stay out of their face. Maya's however was swept more to the side, and instead of wearing a long sleeve shirt she was wearing a graphic tee with a pair of skinny jeans and converse. She continued, "I thought it might be more fun to help you out than to unpack my own stuff." she said this rather sheepishly, but truthfully all the same.
"And hey," she added excitably, "if we finish and it's not too late, we could always go check out the shopping around here! Bet it's way better than in Chicago, what with all the celebs around."

"You know, I just love how you come in before I even answer you." Riley said with a small laugh. Of course she still was going to say yes, she wouldn't be mean to her sister. She loved her too much.
Riley rolled her eyes at what her sister was wearing. Even though they were a year apart, she swore that the two were twins most of the time. She basically considered Maya as her twin, well her pink haired twin.
Tucking some loose hair behind her ears, Riley nodded her head. The unpacking would go a lot faster with the two of them working on it, rather than Riley alone.
"Well grab a box and let's hurry up. I'm almost done with this one." she said and grabbed some small stuffed animals out of the box and placed them onto her dresser. Looking back over at her older sister, Riley placed her hand upon her hips.
"Maya, did you even unpack all of your stuff?" she asked. Riley knew that her sister liked to pick up other people's things, why she had no idea. "Cause if you didn't, I don't know if we will have time to go check out all of the shopping areas."

"Okay!"
Maya crawled her way over to another box, and plopped down in front of it, taking the scissors that Riley had been using to open it. She began taking everything out of it and putting it on the floor beside her; when the box was empty she tossed it out of the room and into the hallway. It was true that the sisters were a lot alike; however their cleaning habits? Not so much.
Once the box was taken care of, Maya went to work on the items that had, at one point, been inside it. She knew her sister well, so she didn't have to ask where anything went. As she absentmindedly put things where they belonged, Riley decided this was a good time to ask her whether or not she'd even cleaned up her own stuff. Maya shifted her weight uneasily from foot to foot before answering, not looking at Riley directly,
"Ah well... no. But that doesn't matter." she waved it off. "I have everything unpacked, technically..." she looked sheepishly at the pile of boxes in the hallway, and then back at her sister. "I can do it later. Or really super fast when we're done with your stuff."
Riley had seen right through her, but was that even a question, really? Maya had known she'd be found out sooner or later. She had been hoping for the latter, but now that her room was seen to be even messier than Riley's (a shame since she hadn't been living in it very long) she'd have to do something about it. With a sigh, she picked up the last item from her pile and set it in its appropriate place, going back to open up a box.

"I swear how are we related?" she asked with a laugh.
The two girls had very different personas, like the sun and the moon. While they did like a lot of the same things, such as shopping, they had different styles (well sometimes). Riley liked to keeps things nice and organized. She had no idea how her sister kept her room.
"Well with you helping me out, it shouldn't take too long really." she told her as she finished putting up the rest of the stuff from her box. There were only about two more boxes. One box had a lot of jewelry inside of it and another box had a lot of cords, like cell phone chargers, tv cords. That sort of stuff.
Grabbing one bix, Riley opened it up and of course it was the box containing cords. "This can go under my bed for now." she said, placing the box onto the floor and kicking it under her bed.
"Well then tomorrow we can finish up your room. Because after this, I don't want to mess with any more boxes."

Maya was seriously considering making some kind of witty response or remark to what her sister had said about them being related, but then she realized she was really quite the horrid actress, and that any joke she would make wouldn't make sense in the slightest, and would probably end up making her look like a fool. Somewhat defeated, she merely laughed and gave a shrug.
She noticed one of the boxes had been placed under Riley's bed for the time being, so she took a peek into the last box. It was jewelry. "What do you want me to do with this?" she asked, pointing at the box.
Finally she thought of something to say- it wasn't witty, but it was definitely the truth. Slapping her forehead slightly, she said brightly, "Oh, I know how we know we're related. Mom gave us both weird names. Right Vivian?" she said teasingly, knowing how her sister felt about her first name. She understood, she felt the same about her own- that's why both she and Riley went by their middle names, which luckily were simple enough.
